Fourth Annual Pink in the Rink The Stingrays are partnering with Susan G. Komen Lowcountry Affiliate to fight breast cancer in the Lowcountry. On February 20, 2010 the Rays will host the 4th Annual Pink in the Rink. Come join the fun and festivities, celebrating with survivors and raising awareness of this disease that has impacted so many lives. Learn more!   LEGISLATIVE ALERT! The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force released a new set recommendations changing the guidelines for mammography and no longer recommending an annual one for women from ages 40 to 49. They say that the benefits of the testing do not outweigh the harms or the risk. Susan G. Komen for the Cure® does not agree with these recommendations and continues to recommend annual mammography beginning at age 40 for women of average risk and earlier for women with known risks for breast cancer. Please sign our petition and help make sure there are no barriers for women to get the mammograms they need.
