Where does my donation go?
For more than 25 years, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has built awareness and raised funds for innovative research and community outreach programs, with the ultimate goal of putting an end to breast cancer. Despite progress, all women are still at risk, and the majority of patients have no other known risk factors.
While we have made tremendous progress in the fight to end breast cancer forever, people are still dying from the disease—and that’s unacceptable. Your donation allows us to continue our fight.
Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Komen Lowcountry Affiliate stay in our 13-county service area through large and small grants, while the remaining income goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Programs supporting research, awards and educational and scientific programs around the world. What are other ways I can donate?
In addition to online donations, checks, stocks and bonds, are accepted. If you are interested in bequesting a gift to our local affiliate, please contact our office to speak with one of our team members. In addition to monetary gifts, we always welcome time and talent from members of the community. Whether you are an individual interested in giving back or a business owner with a desire to make a difference, we welcome your contribution to our cause. What if my company offers a matching program?
Many companies offer employees a matching gift benefit that increases your gift to Komen. If your company has a matching gift program, you must obtain the proper matching gift form from your employer. Please remember to send your completed matching gift form to:
