Saturday clinics, on site clinical breast exams by physicians, education, high risk assessment, same day mammograms and follow up lab work if needed. 4 clinics serving 30 women each time will reach 120 women uninsured /underinsured in need.
Allendale County Hospital for "Pink Prevention"
Awarded: $36,200
To provide funding for uninsured and underinsured women from 21-64 who don't qualify for Best Chance to receive screening and follow up mammograms. To provide services to Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell and Hampton counties to reach 110 uninsured/underinsured women.
Medical University of South Carolina - Hollings Cancer Center for "Mobile Mammography Screening for Underinsured Communities"

To reach 300 women ages 35 and older who are uninsured, underinsured and not qualified for Best Chance through the mobile van and its many outlets.

To provide 1,000 women with educational materials and counseling through outreach programs. To provide 470 clinical breast exams and mammograms for uninsured women. To provide some follow up care with maximum of $2,000 per patient. To provide 6 outreach programs in collaboration with Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
