Bluffton Tosses for the Cure

Bluffton's inaugural Toss for the Cure charity cornhole tournament on Sunday, October 25 helped raise more than $1,600 for breast cancer research and awareness.

More than 60 people showed up at Monster Pizza on Burnt Church Road to play cornhole.

Tournament champions Rob Williamsen Jr. and Scott Marshall won a pair of iPods courtesy of Best Buy Bluffton and Bluffton Today. Sarah Jensen won the grand prize in a raffle, a pair of custom-made cornhole boards and bags made by locals Bruce Floystad, Carole McBride and Scott Marshall.

Proceeds went to the Lowcountry affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Event sponsors were Monster Pizza, Hilton Head Hospital, Best Buy, Budweiser and Bluffton Today.
